veteran:老运动员；nba非常重视veteran，各球队都把自己的veteran视作一笔财富，veteran这个词在nba出现的几率是非常高的，资深球员。

violations：违例。
vision：视野。
walking：带球走步。
warm up ：准备运动，包含慢跑、关节操、伸展操、步法等运动。
washington wizards ：华盛顿魔法师队。
weak side:弱边、无球的一侧为弱边，或称帮忙边(help-side)。
weight training：重量训练。
western conference：西区。
wide open: 外围空档、开阔(n)，无人防守。大多数情况下战术配合的目的就是给队友制造wide-open，以便从容出手。
win or home：赢球或者回家。
wing ：底线区域。
wing：（左、右两边）底线区域；
winning streak：连胜场数，连胜纪录。
wooden award：(纪念ucla前教练john wooden的wooden奖)。
wrist flex：手腕下压。
x-factor：未知因素；指比赛中难以掌握的因素，如某球员发挥与否。
zone defense：区域防守，区域联防
zone:联防；区域防守，也作zone defense。
