高中应当让学生学很多课程（1）学习很多课程是未来学习和工作的需要（2）学习很多课程能够让学生交更多的朋友（3）学习很多课程能够让学生体会到很多乐趣。［托福参看范文］topic:137ithink high school students should be allowed to choose some ofthesubjects they study. however, the basic subjects, likemathematics,literature, and science, should be mandatory for allstudents.when iwas in high school, we were allowed to choose threeelectives eachsemester. electives were subjects that werent partof the baskcurriculum. they included things like music,journalism, art, andvarious kinds of team sports. choosing some ofthese subjects tostudy gave me a chance to experiment. i was ableto get a head starton what i was going to study incollege.however, college pretionshouldnt be the main factor. ithink all students should be allowedto take a certain number ofcourses just because theyre interestedin them. for many students,high school is the last chance to learnabout things theyreinterested in. maybe once they have a job therewont be time forstudying.of course, its also important thatstudents study certainbasic subjects. if id had a choice, i know iwouldnt have studiedmathematics or science. i wasnt veryinterested in them. however,once i was in class, i found myselfgetting interested. i wouldnthave known this if id been given thechoice, because i would havechosen not to take the courses.highschool students arent alwaysthe best judges of what theyll finduseful in the years ahead.they need the guidance of experts in thefield of education.however, they also need some freedom to followtheir curiosity andindividual interests. they should be given thefreedom to choosesome courses, while being required to take others.
