     internet 网络整合专家其所具有的技术可轻易地设定 tcp/ip，规划 tcp/ip 地址，安装及设定 dns 及 ftp 网络服务，安装及设定 proxy server，把单位中现有的网络与网际网络结合在一起，提供现今企业最需要的各项网络服务及特别受到重视的网络安全防护。此项认证附带一项必要条件，必须具备业界认可的网络认证，如cne、microsoft mcse、sco ace或sun microsystems solaris管理员资格。涉及课程：216 fundamentals of internetworking ；605 netware tcp/ip transport ；956 managing netscape enterprise server for netware ；770 internet security management ；656 web server management with bordermanager。需要参加的考试：

　　2000年11月，novell又推出了一项相当关键的认证：认证目录工程师 (certified directory engineer)。目录服务在信息技术基础建设中，已经逐渐成为关键性的角色，在电子商务、电子邮件与 erp (企业资源规划)中的管理应用程序、操作系统、安装作业方面，目录服务技术位居关键地位。而novell的目录服务一向是被业界称赞的。
　　认证目录工程师是以现有的证书为基础，例如cne、mcse、ase、clp、ccnp与ccie 。报考人必须广泛了解传统的网络操作系统，例如netware、windows nt、或unix，而且在故障检修、管理网络、解决internet与目录相关问题方面，也必须具备深入的实际经验。novell建议至少拥有：两年或以上的网络或internet管理经验；网络与internet的安装与故障检修经验；生产环境内有关目录解决方案的经验。这项认证要求极为严格，它测试真正的工作技术，而不只是应付测试的能力。所以，它还要求通过严格的书面考试与实验室的实际操作评估，来证明你有关目录技术与顺利解决问题的能力。
　　在书面课程方面，主要介绍3个部份的课程与训练：基本目录架构：其中包括 ldap；先进目录架构：其中包括目录设计与建置、纲要与其它架构方面的课题；还有先进nds工具与诊断程序：其中包括目录的支持与维护方法。
　　实验室环境的实地操作涵盖了：绘制网络目录树；运作状况检查的规划与维护；执行适当的目录操作；取代目录复制本；诊断、排解疑难、与解决目录问题；利用先进的故障检修工具与公用程序；复原故障的服务器；利用远程访问功能来管理目录环境；利用后勤资源提供novell目录服务 (nds) 与其它先进课题。
　　具体的考试是这样的：通过两门笔试：
　　991： advanced nds tools & diagnostics standard test
　　995： directory server technologies standard test
　　再参加实验室课程：the novell practicum for 991。
　　novell的实习课程是由数量有限、获得授权的novell测试中心来负责。应考者经由远程的方式来存取使用中的实验室目录系统，以仿真it支持环境。将测试应考者在指定时间内，将目录系统复原为正常操作状态的能力。考试结果分为及格/失败，取决于考试结束后对于目录环境的分析结果。
　　novell考试050-436考试费为125美金，其余都为27.5美金。
